The physical exercise while dog boarding occurs naturally during the course of dogs playing, jumping, keeping away, king of the hill, “you can’t see me”, and playing chase with each other. Dog boarding at Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare Kensington means your dog will be mentally and physically stimulated through their play with other dogs, and a variety of obstacles we have in their play areas. Our dog play areas for our dog boarding clients are divided by size for their safety and comfort, and we also can set up areas based on temperament.
At Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare Kensington, we feed our boarding dogs in crates for several reasons: to ensure they eat only their food (some dogs have allergies and are on restricted diets) and to ensure there are no food fights/food aggression. we believe in allowing 90 minutes for eating and digestion ( again this practice is safety-driven for your dog) to avoid upset stomachs and bloat. When we put the dogs to bed at night they sleep in crates that are appropriately sized for them with water available to them. The reason for the crates is that it goes back to dogs living in dens to eat and to rest, the natural den instinct.

We require a nonrefundable boarding deposit to reserve your space for boarding. At the time of booking, you will be charged a $50.00 per dog non-refundable boarding deposit. If you have a change of plans and need to cancel this boarding visit, please remember we require at least 7 days prior to arrival date or you forfeit the non-refundable boarding deposit of $50.00 per dog per reservation. If you cancel a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of the reservation, your deposit will remain on file to be used for services at Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare.
We do recommend you bring food that your dog has been used to their own food, it is kinder to their stomach not to change their diet when they board. Food or meds must be individually bagged with a full name on each meal or medicine. There will be $2.00 per bag per meal charged if you choose not to bring it bagged and labeled.

Dog suites boarding is the most luxurious dog boarding option. Your pup will be able to stretch out and enjoy their own space as if they were at home. This style of boarding is perfect for dogs and owners who do not care for crating. We have three different suite options:

The Ultimate Suite includes unlimited play in the dog daycare, which allows your dog to play indoors and is a fully climate-controlled environment.
The Deluxe Suite is a great middle option for activity and rests for your dog. It includes a half-day of dog daycare (4 hours of play) in which your dog plays indoors and in a fully climate-controlled environment.
The Junior Suite is perfect for dogs who don’t enjoy crates or playing with other dogs. It includes 3 individual potty breaks. Your pet will be able to enjoy a very spacious and quiet environment. If you would like to schedule additional playtime and/or walks, that can be added as well
High Five Boarding
The high-five dog boarding option is perfect for your high-energy and high-social drive dogs. This option gives your dog the entire day to play with new friends indoors (except during meal times and bedtime). Yes, you read correctly! Your dog will be in a dog daycare for the entire day your pet will be playing with other dogs similar in size and temperament.
If you are looking for dog boarding and your dog has moderate energy and loves to be social, this is the perfect dog boarding option. Your dog will be running and playing indoors in a climate-controlled environment to their heart’s delight when you board your dog at Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare. VACCINATION POLICY for DOGS:
We require your dog to be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Canine Influenza Vaccinations, every 6 mos. Bordatella (Kennel Cough) needs to be boosted. Ideally, a 7-10-day wait period after the vaccination has been administered so the vaccine has had time to fully immunize your pet.
